Interview with George Brewer concerning his experiences as a resident of Hamilton Park, Texas from 1956 to 1990. Brewer discusses his early life in Corsicana, his experiences in segregated schools, his early employment, his high school sports career, his attendance at Samuel Huston College, his move to Dallas, African-American housing in Dallas, and his employment with William Volker and Company. He also talks about his decision to locate in Hamilton Park in 1956, the loan application and procedures, his employment with American Building and Maintenance, transportation problems, church activities, Hamilton Park School, Interorganizational Council, Civic League, zoning problems, community beautification, and his ministerial activities.
